Objectives

The journal emphasizes cooperation between architectural and urban planning researchers, and places great weight on the integration of research principles, framework, techniques, methods, models, or strategies in resolving problems faced in urban development. As such, the establishment of this journal platform can benefit both the practical and academic worlds, ensuring the adequate application of research resources.

The journal provides a forum for the exchange of creativity and ideas related to architecture and urban planning by experts from industrial, government, academic, and research fields. The journal establishes a channel for communication between researchers and professionals, facilitating the discussion of problems, challenges, and opportunities for progress in urban development.

Cities, regions, countries, and even the entire world face new challenges in planning. A journal of architecture and planning provides a platform for the publishing of ideas and information related to architecture and urban planning. The research articles currently collected in the journal primarily focus on functional or strategic planning, including:

Specific Notes for Authors

  1. This journal is based on the publishing of academic papers relevant to architecture and urban planning.

  2. Papers submitted for publication in the journal should be limited to Chinese-and English-language articles which have not been previously published in Taiwan. Papers should not exceed 15,000 words or 15 pages.

  3. Papers submitted for publication will be processed as below, based on review results following a double-blind review. Authors will be notified with reviewer comments and processing status.

  4. Manuscripts which pass the review by the editors of this journal should be edited by the authors after submission to the publisher. Editors will notify authors if their papers do not pass review, but will not return the original work.

  5. Starting from 1 July 2021, all foreign scholars who contribute to this journal will be charged a publication fee of US$200 after review and approval. After a paper is adopted for publication, PDF files of individual articles of the current issue will be presented by this journal. No other compensation will be provided.

  8. Two issues of the journal are published each year, typically in September and December.

  9. An authorship rights transfer document should be submitted by authors in conjunction with finalized manuscripts which have passed review and are ready for publication.
