Article The Research of the Bar Type, the Niche Choice and the Consumer Relation-To Take the Downtown Bar in
Author Tian-Yow Chen, Claudio Chen
Abstract

The primarily goal of this research is to find out the relationship between the gather and distribute of the pubs to probe into the category of the pubs, location and consumer selection behavior. Pub is the most unforgettable and colorful leisure property, because their life behavior is very close to those foreign tourists, the quality of the low consumption makes them more amiable and easy of access, that’s why they exist in every corners of the city. Hsin-Chu City, a very famous culture ancient city, she brings lots of the tourists, businessman, technology upstart and students by the speciality of her historic and technology. We expect to find the best category and the location selection of the pubs for Hsin-Chu City from this research. The major results are as followings: It can bring up the tourism value of the city by developing the leisure property, like pubs. From the theory and the case of those international tourism cities, we knew that it can help the residents and tourists to raise up the identification of the local culture by developing the local feature of Hsin-Chu, and it can also promote the development of the tourism, tours and the amusements. According to the regional distribution and category of the pubs, we knew that the key reason to select the location of the pubs is the distribute of the consumers. The favorite location of the businessman, tourists and students will influence the distribute of the pubs. According to the analysis from the proprietor of the pubs and consumers, we knew that the present state and the future development are deeply influence by the fond of consumers. It will influence the continuous changes directly from the focus on the fond of the consumers by proprietor of the pubs. And because of this, pubs keep change their manage type from the change of consumers fond until nowadays.

Article Using CECIQ to Examine Rural Tourism Regeneration
Author Kuang-Chieh Chen, Tai-Shan Hu, Chi-Mei Chen
Abstract

When analyzing rural tourism, it is not only important to examine the way improved rural economy, but also crucial to explore the circumstances of changing economic environments. In fact, using tourism industries as a policy or an approach is too powerless to advance peripheral problems, such as loss of population and decline in employment opportunities around metropolis. The purpose of this study is to analyze the uniqueness and location of tourism in peripheral countryside. By using the CECIQ (Creative, Entrepreneurship, Cultural, and Innovative Quarter) theory, this study can examine the kinds of potential fundamental elements that extend tourism to the countryside.

Article The Preliminary Framework and Simulations of Dynamic Spatial Structure Modeling (DSSM) on Right and
Author Shyh-Haw Chyan, Hsiao-Lan Liu, Shih-Liang Chan
Abstract

The patterns of city development are susceptible to be impacted by the road frame to form linear city, star city, and rectangular grid city and the like. The traditional theories of urban spatial dynamics often focused on descriptive discussions, such as Friedman's (1966) Core-Periphery Theory, Doxiadis' (1969) Ideal Dynamic Urban Style of and the Turbo-cornutus of Tanabe (1970). Batty (1994) utilized the Live Game to create the foundation of urban spatial dynamic simulation, and subsequent scholars adopted the Cellular Automata (CA) modeling as an urban development model. With standard CA lacking urban economics theories, it was highly difficult to create a core's hierarchy correlation and to demonstrate the sate of urban rentals distribution. By observing multi-core city changes, this study attempts to instill a preliminary framework by taking into account the transportation cost on varied roadway hierarchies, and to establish a multi-core city simulation model under a grid geography information system utilizing the threshold demand, neighborhood model and utility functions. It discovers the city of Turbo-cornutus and Center Place Theory (Christaller, 1993) in urban development. The analysis indicates that a majority of cores distributed on arteries, the highest hierarchy core shift from the original spots to other places, newer arteries replaced the old ones, and the reasons why the number of cores on artery became more, and larger in scale.

Article The Research of Global Production Networks-A Case Study of Hsin-Chu Industrial Park
Author Jen-Te Pai
Abstract

Facing the globalization trend, foreign direct investment (FDI) plays an important role for national economic and regional development. Global production networks (GPNs) of transnational corporations (TNCs) have influence of worldwide industry and the circumstances of Taiwan, especially the attractive power of China for Taiwan's enterprises after its rising. Hsin-chu industrial park planned foreign zone at initial stage and now with very high productivity than other industrial park in Taiwan, and it's proximate to Hsin-chu Science Park. Thus, the industry cluster of Hsin-chu industrial park and their production network shouldn't be examined with traditional industrial park. This research based on the concept of GPNs and builds a framework for analyzing firms' globalization decision making and the relocation behavior by using questionnaire and interview. Besides, firms in Hsin-chu industrial park play key producers, OEM and ODM in global production networks (2nd tier). This research also finds that flag firms (ex: RITEK) have lower value added, enhancement and capture, but have higher power of decision in GPNs and cross-border production networks and embedded deeply in local.
